Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hoover Vacuum Cleaner.
Regular Check for Obstructions
To prevent problems, regularly check for obstructions in the hose and tools. Ensure the cleaner is turned off and disconnected from the electrical outlet before inspection. Open the hose door and carefully remove any visible obstructions. If no obstruction is found but the problem persists, consult a Hoover Factory Service Center or an Authorized Warranty Service Dealer.
Use Recommended Attachments
Always use only the attachments recommended by The Hoover Company to avoid hazards and ensure optimal performance. Using unauthorized attachments may cause damage.
Replace Belts and Brush Rolls
Regularly check the condition of the belt and brush rolls. Replace the belt if it is stretched, cut, or broken with a genuine HOOVER belt. Similarly, replace the agitator if the brushes are worn out to maintain cleaning effectiveness.
Clean and Maintain the Hose
Clean the hose by wiping off dirt with a cloth dampened in a liquid detergent. Regular maintenance of the hose ensures continued cleaning effectiveness.
Proper Use and Handle Positioning
Ensure the vacuum cleaner is used only for its intended purpose. Familiarize yourself with the handle's three positions: upright for storage and when using cleaning tools, operating for general operation, and low for reaching under furniture.
