Follow these easy steps to get your Hoover U4249-030 Vacuum Cleaner up and running in no time.
Remove all parts from the carton and identify each item: Upper handle, Lower handle, Cleaner body, Outer bag, Cord, Filter paper bag, Handle bolt and nut packet. Ensure all parts, especially small items, are located before disposing of the cardboard packing.
Place the upper and lower handle sections on a flat surface with cord hooks on top. Ensure the rectangular end is pushed into the handle as far as possible. Slide the cord protector toward the upper handle.
Note the location of tapered rails on the back of the outer bag base and on the front of the lower handle. Align these and attach the outer bag.
With the outer bag in front, place the assembled handle onto the handle base of the cleaner body. Rock the handle side to side while pushing down firmly. Place the nut in the recessed area at the back of the handle and hold it in place while tightening the bolt securely with a screwdriver.
Press the cord into place at each of the three notches indicated. Do not plug the cleaner in until the assembly is totally complete. Ensure the handle is in the upright position and all components are securely fastened.
