Follow these easy steps to get your Hotpoint 25 Refrigerator up and running in no time.

1. Select the Location

Choose a location for your Hotpoint Refrigerator where the floor is strong enough to support it fully loaded. Ensure there are clearances for air circulation: 1/8 inch on the sides, 1 inch on the top, and 1 inch at the back. If placed against a wall, allow a 1/8 inch door clearance.

2. Position the Refrigerator

Once the location is selected, carefully move the refrigerator to its position. Pull it straight out and push it back in to avoid damaging the floor. Ensure not to roll over the power cord or the icemaker supply line.

3. Connect Electricity

Do not cut or remove the third prong (ground) from the power cord. The refrigerator must be properly grounded. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet with the appropriate voltage.

4. Water Line Installation (If Applicable)

If your refrigerator includes an icemaker, connect it to a cold water line using a copper or approved plastic tubing kit. Ensure the tubing is 1/4 inch in outer diameter. A water supply kit with the necessary components can be purchased separately.

5. Start the Icemaker

For models with an icemaker, set the power switch to the 'I' (on) position. The icemaker will only begin to operate once it reaches its operating temperature of 15°F (–9°C) or below.

6. Final Adjustments

Check all connections and ensure the refrigerator is level. Adjust the control settings according to your personal preference, usage, and operating conditions.
