Follow these easy steps to get your Hotpoint HSS22DDM Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Carefully remove all packaging materials, tape, and protective film from the refrigerator. Ensure that you do not damage the finish or the doors during this process.
Move the refrigerator to its desired location. Make sure to allow the recommended air clearances of at least 1/8 inch on each side, 1 inch at the top, and 1 inch at the back for proper air circulation.
Adjust the leveling legs located at the bottom front corners of the refrigerator to ensure it is level. Use a carpenter's level on top of the refrigerator to verify. This will ensure that the doors close properly and prevent any operational issues.
If your model includes an icemaker, connect the water supply line to the water inlet valve located at the back of the refrigerator. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for connecting to the household water supply.
Once the refrigerator is in place and level, plug it into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure that the voltage and frequency match the requirements specified in the user manual.
Locate the upfront electronic temperature controls inside the fresh food compartment. Set the desired temperature for both the refrigerator and freezer sections. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.
Familiarize yourself with the features such as the FrostGuard™ Technology, Tall LightTouch! Dispenser, and Hotpoint® Water Filter. Adjust the shelves and storage compartments to suit your storage needs.
Before storing food, clean the inside of the refrigerator with a mild soap solution and water. Dry thoroughly. Allow the refrigerator to cool for a few hours before placing food inside.
