Follow these easy steps to get your Hotpoint RFA60 Refrigerator up and running in no time.

1. Choose Location

Select a spot for your fridge freezer away from heat sources like cookers, radiators, and direct sunlight. Ensure there’s at least a 100mm (4 inch) gap above the unit for ventilation.

2. Adjust Front Feet

Level the fridge freezer by adjusting the front feet to prevent rocking or vibration and to keep the door aligned.

3. Allow to Settle

Before plugging in, leave the fridge freezer in its final location for at least 15 minutes to allow the system to settle.

4. Install Hinge Covers

After adjusting the front feet and ensuring the fridge freezer is level, fit the left and right-hand bottom hinge covers as supplied.

5. Plug In and Power On

Plug the fridge freezer into the power outlet and switch it on.

6. Cooling Period

Allow the fridge freezer to cool down before placing any food inside. The high-temperature light will remain on until it cools.

7. Fast Freeze Option

If freezing fresh food, activate the fast freeze function by pressing the switch 24 hours prior to placing the food inside.

8. Holiday Mode (RFA80 & RFA70)

For RFA80 & RFA70 models, use the holiday mode to set the fridge compartment to a warmer setting when away, reducing energy consumption while maintaining freezer operation.

9. Temperature Setting

Set the temperature control wheel based on your location's climate and frequency of door openings. The normal set point is marked by a 3 on the dial.

10. Final Checks

Ensure ventilation openings are clear of obstructions and the mains cable is not trapped. The fridge freezer should not be placed in rooms where temperatures drop below 6˚C or exceed 38˚C.
