Follow these easy steps to get your Hotpoint RLS30 Refrigerator up and running in no time.

1. Location Selection

Choose a location for your fridge away from any heat sources such as cookers, radiators, or direct sunlight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation with at least a 30mm (1¼ inch) gap above the fridge.

2. Settling Period

After moving the fridge to its final location, allow it to stand upright for at least 15 minutes before plugging in. This lets the refrigerant settle.

3. Levelling

Level the fridge by adjusting the front feet. This will prevent rocking or vibration and ensure the door aligns properly.

4. Ventilation

If there is less than 30mm clearance above the fridge, fit a vent to the rear of your worktop to ensure adequate ventilation. This can be obtained from Hotpoint Genuine Parts & Accessories.

5. Electrical Supply

Ensure the fridge is properly connected to an earthed electrical supply. It comes fitted with a 13A plug and fuse. Make sure the plug is accessible after installation.

6. Initial Operation

After the settling period, plug in and switch on the fridge. Allow it to cool down before placing any food inside.

7. Temperature Setting

Set the control wheel to the normal set point (marked by a 3 and N on the dial). Adjust as necessary depending on the room temperature and usage requirements.

8. Placing Food

Once the fridge is sufficiently cool, place your food inside, ensuring all items are covered.
