Troubleshooting

The Bosch WTL5400 Dryer has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your Bosch might be giving you.

Lint Filter Blocked

The lint filter is blocked which may cause the dryer to not function properly. Clean the lint filter as described in the CARE & CLEANING section. Ensure it is cleaned before or after each load to maintain optimal performance.

Exhaust Vent Blocked or Too Long (WTA models)

The exhaust vent is either blocked or excessively long, hindering the dryer’s performance. Check the exhaust vent to ensure it is not obstructed and is of appropriate length for efficient operation.

Air Inlet Blocked (WTL models)

The air inlet is obstructed, affecting the dryer's efficiency. Inspect the air inlet and remove any blockages to ensure proper airflow.

High Efficiency Precision Drying System

The Bosch WTA3500 and WTL5400 dryers feature a High Efficiency Precision Drying System with Duotronic technology, ensuring optimal drying results by precisely sensing moisture levels.

Exceptionally Quiet Operation

Both models are designed to operate with minimal noise, making them suitable for installation in living areas without causing disturbance.

Reverse Tumble Action

To reduce tangling and improve drying efficiency, these dryers incorporate reverse tumble action, changing the direction of drum rotation throughout the cycle.

Timed Cycles

Users can select timed cycles ranging from 10 to 90 minutes, providing flexibility for specific drying needs and preferences.

Energy Saving Tips

To conserve energy, Bosch recommends spinning clothes in the washer at the highest speed before drying and ensuring proper load sizes.

Warranty Information

Bosch provides a range of warranties including a 1-year full warranty, a 2-year parts warranty, and extended warranties for electronics and motors, ensuring peace of mind for the user.

Stainless Steel Drum

Lint Filter Maintenance

The lint filter should be cleaned after each use to maintain efficient operation and reduce fire risk. A lint filter cleaning indicator is included for user convenience.

Additional Functions

Additional functions, such as the 'DELICATES' button, allow users to reduce drying temperature for heat-sensitive fabrics, providing care for delicate clothing items.

Maintenance

Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Bosch Dryer.

Regular Lint Filter Cleaning

Clean the lint filter after every use to ensure efficient operation and energy saving. This prevents lint build-up which can lead to longer drying times and potential safety hazards.

Check Exhaust Vent and Air Inlets

Ensure that the exhaust vent for WTA models and air inlets for WTL models are not blocked. Blocked vents can cause the dryer to overheat and reduce efficiency.

Clean the Moisture Sensors

Regularly clean the moisture sensors located inside the drum to ensure accurate drying cycles. This prevents the dryer from running longer than necessary.

Heat Exchanger Maintenance (WTL Models)

Clean the heat exchanger 3-4 times a year, more often if the dryer is used frequently. This maintains the dryer's efficiency and prevents overheating.

Proper Loading

Do not overload the dryer. Follow the recommended load sizes to ensure optimal drying and prevent unnecessary strain on the appliance.
