Troubleshooting

The Bosch WTMC352SUC Dryer has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your Bosch might be giving you.

Lightbulb is loose

The 'Start/Stop' indicator light does not illuminate due to a loose lightbulb. Tighten the lightbulb and ensure it is securely in place.

Lint filter LED blinking

The lint filter LED blinks after the lint filter has been cleaned. This blinking is not indicative of a problem; it serves as a reminder. No action required. The light will stop blinking on its own.

E:01 Error Code

A warning signal is emitted, and the display shows 'E:01'. This indicates that the degree of drying has not been reached, or the drying time is too long. Check the exhaust air extraction and ensure it is not blocked. Spin the laundry at a higher speed in your washer. If the problem persists, switch off the dryer, leave it to cool down for 30 minutes, and then switch it on again and restart the program.

Safety Information

It is critical to read all safety instructions before using the dryer. Do not dry articles that have been in contact with gasoline or other flammable substances. Never operate the dryer without the front cover plate in place and ensure the dryer is installed correctly according to instructions.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance involves cleaning the exhaust duct, moisture sensor, and bearing shield to ensure optimal performance. Follow the guide provided to perform these tasks safely and effectively.

Installation Instructions

Installation should be in accordance with the provided instructions to ensure optimum dryer performance. When installing in a closet, minimum clearances should be observed: 0" on sides, 12" on top, and as close to the rear wall as gas piping and venting will allow. The installation location must be indoors, away from dripping water, flammable materials, and environments at risk of frost or containing gas.

Operating Instructions

To operate the dryer, open the door and ensure the lint filter is clean. Load laundry sorted by type and desired drying degree. Use the control panel to select desired programs and options. The 'Start/Stop' button initiates and ends the drying process, while indicator lights display the drying status.

Warranty and Service

The dryer comes with a warranty from BSH Home Appliances. This warranty covers certain defects but excludes labor charges after one year and any issues arising from improper use or installation. For service, contact a Bosch authorized service center.

Maintenance

Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Bosch Dryer.

Regular Cleaning of Lint Filter

Clean the lint filter before and after each drying process. This ensures efficient drying and prevents overheating by maintaining proper airflow. A dirty filter can extend drying time and increase energy consumption.

Monthly Cleaning of Moisture Sensor

The moisture sensor should be cleaned monthly to remove any transparent buildup. Use a cloth with a little white vinegar to wipe the sensors, which are located next to the lint filter.

Monthly Cleaning of Bearing Shield

Fluff accumulates in the bearing shield over time. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove this fluff at least once a month to ensure smooth dryer operation.

Ensure Proper Ventilation

Keep the area around the exhaust opening and adjacent areas free from lint, dust, and dirt accumulation. This prevents overheating and maintains efficient airflow.

Inspect Exhaust Duct Regularly

Disconnect the duct from the dryer, vacuum it, and reconnect it regularly. Ensure that the exhaust duct is reduced to the maximum length as described in the installation instructions.
