Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Dyson Vacuum Cleaner.
Regularly Empty the Clear Bin
Turn off the power and unplug the vacuum cleaner before emptying the clear bin. Ensure the bin is emptied frequently to maintain suction performance.
Properly Maintain the Filter
Wash the filter regularly with cold water. Do not use detergent. Allow it to air dry for at least 12 hours before refitting. Ensure the filter is completely dry to avoid damage.
Avoid Obstructions
Do not insert hands or objects into the clear bin unless it is emptied and rinsed. Clear blockages immediately to prevent motor strain. Turn the power off and unplug before clearing any obstructions.
Safe Usage Practices
Do not use the vacuum cleaner near heat sources, to pick up water or liquids, or on flammable objects. Avoid using the vacuum on stairs above you to prevent falls and injuries.
Brushbar Care
The brushbar will stop if obstructed. Clear blockages and press the reset button on the cleaner head before restarting. Turn off the brushbar when vacuuming delicate floors.
