Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hoover Vacuum Cleaner.
Cord Safety
If the supply cord is damaged, stop using the cleaner immediately. The supply cord must be replaced by an authorized Hoover service engineer to avoid a safety hazard.
After Use
Switch the cleaner off and remove the plug from the electricity supply. Always switch off and remove the plug before cleaning the appliance or attempting any maintenance task.
Filter Maintenance
Wash filters under hand warm water. Do not use hot water or detergents. Ensure filters are clean for optimal cleaning performance. Hoover recommends washing the Dust Manager cassette filters after every 5 container empties.
Blockage Prevention
If your cleaner is not picking up efficiently, the belt or brushes may need replacing. Ensure the dust container is emptied, filters are cleaned, and check for blockages. Remove the hood and inspect the belt and brush assembly if needed.
Attachment Use
Only use attachments recommended or supplied by Hoover. When using cleaning tools, keep the cleaner in the upright position to avoid possible damage to carpets or floor coverings.
