Push the wand/tool latch on the hand grip to the unlock symbol. Push the hand grip down onto the wand so that the button projection fits into the slot.

Agitator brush roll won't run

The agitator brush roll is not rotating as expected. Check if the belt is broken or worn. If so, replace the belt to restore functionality. Additionally, ensure that the floor surface setting is correct. If set to 'BARE', switch to 'RUG' position to enable the agitator brush roll.

Low suction

The vacuum cleaner is experiencing reduced suction power. Inspect the cleaner for potential blockages that could be restricting airflow. Clear any obstructions to improve suction. Additionally, check filters and ensure they are clean and properly installed.

Warranty Information

The Hoover S5697, S5701, S5703, S5709, S5711, S5713, S5671, S5672, S5673, S5674, S5675, and S5573 vacuum cleaners come with a limited warranty. The power unit has a five-year warranty, the suction motor for Models S5671 and S5672 is also five years. Model S5673 offers a seven-year warranty, while Models S5573 and S5675 include a ten-year warranty on the suction motor. The attachment set has a full one-year warranty.

Users are advised to remove larger items from carpets and floors before vacuuming to prevent obstructions in the hose, wands, or nozzle connector, ensuring effective cleaning. The vacuum models feature different hose configurations. Models S5697, S5701, and S5703 use a corded hose, while Model S5709 uses a cordless hose. It is essential to use only the attachments recommended by Hoover to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Maintenance and Parts

For maintenance, it is recommended to use genuine Hoover replacement parts. When replacing the belt, use Belt No. 40201045. For the headlight, use Hoover part No. 27317-307, a fused bulb. The agitator brush roll should be replaced with part No. 48414-071.
