Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hoover Vacuum Cleaner.
Avoid Lubrication
The motor and agitator are equipped with sealed ball bearings. Adding lubricant could cause damage. Therefore, do not add lubricant to the motor or agitator bearings.
Check Carpet Height Setting
Ensure the nozzle control knob is set to the correct carpet height to avoid difficulty in pushing the cleaner and to enhance cleaning efficiency.
Replace Worn Parts
Replace the agitator brushes and belts if they are worn or broken to maintain optimal performance.
Regularly Empty Bag or Dirt Cup
Empty the bag or dirt cup frequently, especially when picking up fine materials like powder, to prevent loss of suction and overworking the motor.
Inspect and Clean Heavy Object Channel
After every use, remove the access cap and inspect the channel for debris. Remove any debris to maintain performance and prevent damage.
