Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Regular Ice Management
A thick layer of ice makes cold transference to food products more difficult and results in increased energy consumption. Defrost if ice forms to ensure optimal performance.
Door Seal Maintenance
Regularly check the door seals and wipe them clean to ensure they are free of debris. This will prevent cold air from escaping.
Proper Cleaning
Clean the external and internal parts, as well as the rubber seals, using a sponge soaked in lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda or neutral soap. Avoid using solvents, abrasive products, bleach, or ammonia.
Avoid Overloading
Do not fill the appliance with too much food. Cold air must circulate freely for food to be preserved properly. If circulation is impeded, the compressor will work continuously.
Correct Installation
Install the appliance in a fresh and well-ventilated room, protected from direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Ensure the appliance is on a level surface to avoid noise and vibration.
