Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Ensure that the refrigerator and freezer are regularly cleaned. Use a sponge soaked in lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda or neutral soap to clean external and internal parts, including the rubber seals.
Avoid Overloading
Do not fill the appliance with too much food. Cold air must circulate freely for proper food preservation. Overloading can cause the compressor to work continuously and increase energy consumption.
Defrosting
Defrost the appliance if ice forms. A thick layer of ice can impede cold transference to food products and increase energy consumption.
Door Seals
Regularly check and clean the door seals to ensure they are free of debris and to prevent cold air from escaping.
Positioning
Ensure the appliance is installed on a level surface to prevent noise and vibration.
