Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Ensure Proper Installation
Before using the Hotpoint HM311i Refrigerator, ensure it is correctly installed in a tall kitchen unit with adequate ventilation, and check that the appliance is level and dry inside.
Allow Cooling System to Settle
Leave the refrigerator to stand for two hours before connecting to the power supply to allow the cooling system to settle.
Regular Cleaning
Clean the interior and the condenser on the rear wall regularly with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean the door seal using warm, soapy water, ensuring it is dry and free from creases.
Defrosting
Manually defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches 3-5mm thickness. Set the thermostat to position 7 before defrosting to ensure packages are well frozen.
Proper Food Storage
Store foods in suitable packaging to prevent drying out and odor transfer. Ensure adequate air circulation around packages and do not let food touch the cooling plate at the rear.
