Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Hotpoint Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Even though the condenser coils are encased and labeled as NeverClean, it's important to regularly clean the interior of your refrigerator. Remove all food items and clean the shelves and drawers with mild detergent to prevent odors and bacterial growth.
Temperature Control
Ensure the upfront temperature controls are adjusted properly. Keep the refrigerator set to 37°F (3°C) and the freezer at 0°F (-18°C) for optimal performance.
Proper Storage
Utilize the gallon door storage and adjustable wire shelves to maintain proper air circulation inside the refrigerator. Avoid overloading the fridge to ensure efficient cooling.
Check Door Seals
Regularly inspect the door seals for any cracks or damage. A tight seal prevents cool air from escaping, which helps to maintain the internal temperature.
Allow Air Clearance
Ensure there is sufficient space around the refrigerator for air circulation. Maintain at least a 1-inch clearance at the top and back, and 3/4 inch on each side.
