Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Indesit Refrigerator.
Proper Installation
Install the appliance in a fresh and well-ventilated room. Ensure it is placed on a level and rigid floor, away from any sources of heat such as direct sunlight and electric stoves. If the floor is not perfectly horizontal, adjust the refrigerator by tightening or loosening the front feet.
Temperature Management
Use the TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT knob to set the desired temperature. Avoid setting it too high to prevent the appliance from operating continuously, which can lead to high frost formation and increased energy consumption.
Defrosting and Ice Management
The refrigerator has an automatic defrosting function. It is not necessary to defrost manually. However, ensure the water discharge hole is not blocked to avoid ice buildup, which can increase energy consumption.
Maintenance of Door Seals
Regularly check and clean the door seals to ensure they are free of debris and to prevent cold air from escaping. This helps maintain the efficiency of the refrigerator.
Avoid Overloading
Do not fill the appliance with too much food. Cold air must circulate freely for the food to be preserved properly. Overloading can cause the compressor to work continuously and consume more energy.
