Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Dryer.
Regular Cleaning
Unplug the dryer before cleaning to avoid the risk of electric shock. Clean the lint filter before or after each load by pulling it straight up and rolling off the lint. Ensure the exhaust vent is free from lint, dust, and dirt. The interior of the dryer and exhaust vent should be cleaned periodically by qualified service personnel.
Check Ductwork
Ductwork should be checked for lint buildup and cleaned at least once per year. Keeping ductwork clean of lint buildup and free of restrictions allows clothes to dry faster and reduces energy use. If any noticeable reduction in airflow or drying performance occurs, immediately check ductwork for obstructions and blockages.
SMART DIAGNOSIS™
If you experience technical difficulties with your dryer, it can transmit data via your telephone to the Customer Information Center for analysis and diagnosis.
Safety Instructions
Do not use heat to dry articles containing foam rubber or similarly textured rubber-like materials. Keep the area around the exhaust opening and adjacent surrounding areas free from the accumulation of lint, dust, and dirt. Do not store plastic, paper, or clothing that may burn or melt on top of the dryer during operation.
Avoid Overloading
For best results, load articles of similar size and fabric type. Do not overload the dryer as it can lead to inefficient drying performance.
