Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Dryer.
Regular Cleaning
Unplug the dryer before cleaning to avoid the risk of electric shock. Clean the lint filter before or after each load to ensure proper airflow. Use only authorized components for maintenance and repairs.
Ventilation Maintenance
Check vent hood for damage or lint clogging. Ensure the area around the vent hood is clear. Keep the exhaust duct outlet clean of lint buildup and free of restrictions to allow clothes to dry faster and reduce energy use.
Ductwork Inspection
Inspect vent ductwork for lint buildup once per month and clean at least once per year. If there is any noticeable reduction in airflow or drying performance, immediately check ductwork for obstructions and blockages.
Flow Sense System
Utilize the Flow Sense system to detect blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork. If the system indicates an issue, check and clean the ductwork promptly. This system helps in maintaining optimal drying performance and preventing potential hazards.
Safety Precautions
Do not reach into the dryer if the drum or any part is moving. Ensure all gas connections are securely tightened. Follow all industry-recommended safety procedures including the use of long-sleeved gloves and safety glasses during maintenance.
