Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Samsung Oven.
Keep Door and Sealing Surfaces Clean
Ensure that the door and door sealing surfaces are kept clean by wiping them after use first with a damp cloth and then with a soft dry cloth. This prevents food or cleaner residues from accumulating, which could interfere with the door's proper closure.
Avoid Operating with Damage
Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. Ensure the oven door closes properly and check for any damage to the door, door seals, sealing surfaces, door hinges, or power cable. Only a properly qualified microwave service technician trained by the manufacturer should perform repairs.
Prevent Fire Hazards
To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity, do not store flammable materials in the oven, remove wire twist ties from paper or plastic bags, and do not use the microwave oven to dry newspapers. If smoke is observed, keep the oven door closed and switch off or disconnect the oven from the power supply.
Avoid Using Metal Trimmings
Ensure that no metal trimmings, such as dishes with metal edges or utensils, are left inside the oven during operation. This can prevent sparking and potential damage.
Proper Ventilation
Do not cover the rear ventilation slots with cloths or paper as they may catch fire from the hot air being evacuated from the oven. Ensure proper airflow around the oven.
