Follow these easy steps to get your Samsung ME1440SC Oven up and running in no time.

Place the Oven

Position the microwave oven on a flat, sturdy surface. Ensure it is placed in an area that allows for adequate ventilation, leaving at least four inches of space behind, above, and to the sides of the oven.

Connect to Power

Plug the cord into a properly grounded outlet. Once plugged in, the display should show the initial setup screen.

Select Weight System

Upon first use, you can choose between pounds (LBS) or kilograms (KG) for the weight system. Press '0' immediately after plugging in your microwave. If the display does not show 'Kg', unplug and plug it in again. Press '0' repeatedly to select your desired weight system and press the PAUSE/CANCEL button to confirm.

Troubleshooting

The Samsung ME1440SC Oven has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your Samsung might be giving you.

Display shows "Loc"

The microwave oven is locked and cannot be used. To unlock the microwave oven, repeat the process used to lock it.

Power goes off before the set time has elapsed

The microwave power shuts off unexpectedly, which could be due to a power outage or other issues. If a power outage has not occurred, remove the plug from the outlet, wait ten seconds, then plug it in again. If there was a power outage, reset the clock and any cooking instructions.

Oven display works, but power won’t come on

The microwave display is operational but the microwave does not start. Ensure the door is securely closed and check for any packing material or other obstructions stuck to the door seal.

Each model varies slightly in specifications. For instance, the MW1040WC/BC has a 1.0 cu ft cavity with 1100 Watts output, while the ME1480STC features a 1.4 cu ft cavity with 1100 Watts output. All models have 10 power levels, including defrost, and a timer settable to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.

Warranty Information

Samsung provides a one-year warranty on parts and labor and an eight-year warranty on the magnetron. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for non-commercial use.

Weight Selection

The microwave allows switching between pounds and kilograms for weight display. Selection is done by pressing '0' immediately after plugging in the microwave.
