Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Samsung Oven.
Regular Cleaning
Ensure regular cleaning of all components of the oven, including the interior, heating elements, and glass touchpad. This helps prevent buildup of grease and food particles which could lead to malfunctions or fire hazards.
Check Water Supply
If your appliance is connected to a water supply, ensure that it is not a cold water supply. Cold water can prevent detergent from dissolving properly, affecting cleaning efficiency.
Control Box Maintenance
For the ME179KFETSR/AA model, if you experience control box failures, indicated by spontaneous activation of microwave functions, replace the ASSY CONTROL BOX, PN DE94-02944A. Do not attempt to replace the control panel or PCB main as it won’t resolve the issue.
Flow Sensor Awareness
Be aware that the RF4267HA, RFG296HD, RFG297HD, RFG298HD, RFG29PHD, and RFG29THD models no longer include a flow sensor in new production or replacement parts. This change should be considered during maintenance or part replacement.
Address SE Errors
If an 'SE' error appears, indicating a communication failure between the touch panel controller and touchpad, it may be necessary to replace the ASSY Control Box. Ensure the control dial allows for selection changes, but investigate touchpad issues if selections cannot be entered.
