Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Samsung Oven.
Safety Precautions
Always observe safety precautions when using your oven. Never attempt to repair the oven on your own as it contains dangerous voltage. Contact an authorized service center if repairs are needed. Read all safety instructions before using the appliance to reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, personal injury, or exposure to excessive microwave energy.
Door and Seal Maintenance
Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door, and ensure no soil or cleaner residue accumulates on sealing surfaces. Do not operate the oven if it is damaged, especially if the door does not close properly, or if there is damage to the door, hinges, latches, or seals.
Cleaning and Care
Keep the inside of the oven clean. Food particles and spilled liquids can adhere to the oven walls, reducing efficiency. Wipe up spills immediately. Clean the turntable, roller ring, and oven floor, ensuring they are correctly positioned. Use only mild, nonabrasive soaps or detergents applied with a sponge or soft cloth for cleaning.
Avoiding Microwave Energy Exposure
Do not attempt to operate the oven with the door open, as this can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. Ensure the safety interlocks are not tampered with.
Operating Instructions
Never operate the oven without food inside; this can damage the magnetron tube or glass tray. Ensure the glass tray is in place on the oven floor; food will not cook properly without it.
