Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Samsung Oven.
Ensure Proper Door Function
Regularly check the oven door for any signs of damage such as bent or dented areas, broken or loosened hinges and latches, or issues with door seals and sealing surfaces. A properly closing door is essential to prevent harmful exposure to microwave energy.
Keep Microwave Clean
Maintain a clean interior by wiping up spills immediately and regularly cleaning the oven cavity. Food particles and spilled liquids can stick to the oven walls, reducing efficiency and potentially causing paint damage.
Avoid Operating While Empty
Never operate the oven without food inside, as this can damage the magnetron tube and glass tray. Ensure that the oven is not used for storage when not in use.
Use Suitable Cookware
Remove any metallic utensils, cookware, or metal ties before use. If using foil, use narrow strips and ensure at least one inch between the foil and interior oven walls to prevent sparking or arcing.
Regularly Clean Filters
For models with a charcoal filter, replace it when it is noticeably dirty or discolored, typically every 6 to 12 months. Regular cleaning of reusable grease filters is also recommended to ensure optimal performance.
