Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Ensure the refrigerator is cleaned regularly to maintain optimal performance. Use a mild detergent and warm water to clean the interior and exterior surfaces. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Pay special attention to the door seals and the drainage area to prevent blockages.
Check Temperature Settings
Verify that the refrigerator is set to the correct temperature range, which is between -2°C and 10°C. This helps maintain food quality and prevents the compressor from overworking. Adjust the thermostat as needed to maintain the desired temperature.
Inspect Door Seals
Regularly inspect the door seals for signs of wear or damage. Damaged seals can lead to cold air leakage, causing the refrigerator to work harder and use more energy. Replace any damaged seals promptly to ensure efficient operation.
Defrost System Maintenance
The refrigerator is equipped with an automatic defrost system that activates three times in 24 hours. Ensure that the defrost system is functioning properly by checking for excessive frost buildup. If issues arise, consult a professional technician for repairs.
Ventilation and Airflow
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation around the refrigerator. Do not block the air vents as proper airflow is essential for efficient operation. The central position of the refrigeration unit facilitates air circulation, so maintain clearance around the unit.
