Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Energy Saving Practices
To optimize energy efficiency, avoid opening the refrigerator door frequently or leaving it open longer than necessary. In high ambient temperatures, if the appliance is fully loaded and set to a low temperature, the compressor may run continuously. Adjust the Temperature Regulator towards warmer settings to allow automatic defrosting and save electricity.
Fresh Food Storage Tips
To ensure optimal refrigeration performance, do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator. Always cover or wrap food, especially if it has a strong flavor, and position items to allow free air circulation around them.
Care and Cleaning
Before performing any maintenance, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains socket. Regularly clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap. Make sure to dry everything thoroughly after cleaning.
Ventilation and Placement
Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction to ensure proper operation. The appliance is intended for storing food and beverages in a normal household setting. Do not use mechanical devices to speed up the thawing process, and avoid using unapproved electrical appliances inside the refrigerator.
Defrosting and Storage
Do not exceed the storage period indicated by food manufacturers. When storing frozen food, ensure that items are wrapped correctly to avoid freezer burn. After defrosting, food deteriorates rapidly and should not be refrozen.
