Follow these easy steps to get your Hotpoint RLA50 Refrigerator up and running in no time.
Select a location for your fridge away from heat sources like cookers and radiators. Ensure there is at least a 30mm (1 1/4 inch) gap above the fridge for ventilation.
Move the fridge to its final location using the sides of the cabinet. Be careful to avoid damaging the refrigerant circuit pipework on the rear of the appliance.
Once in position, leave the fridge standing for at least 15 minutes before plugging in and switching on. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
Adjust the front feet of the fridge to ensure it is level. This prevents rocking or vibration and helps keep the door aligned.
After leveling, fit the left and right-hand bottom hinge covers supplied with the fridge to cover the hinges.
Ensure the fridge is earthed and the mains cable is not trapped under or behind the fridge. Plug in and switch on the power supply.
Allow the fridge to cool down before placing any food inside. Ensure all food is appropriately covered.
Set the control wheel to the normal setting, typically marked by a '3' and an 'N' on the dial. Adjust as necessary depending on room temperature and usage.
