Follow these easy steps to get your Sony SL-2710 Video Recorder up and running in no time.
Carefully remove the Sony SL-2710 Video Recorder from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future transportation needs.
Disconnect the TV antenna cables from the TV receiver and connect them to the recorder. Then, connect the recorder to the TV using the appropriate cables.
Ensure all other connections between the video cassette recorder and the TV have been completed. Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.
Set the RF UNIT channel selector located at the rear of the recorder to channel 3 or 4, depending on which channel is not active in your area.
Turn on the TV and set it to either VHF channel 3 or 4 to agree with the RF UNIT channel selector setting. Then, turn on the video recorder.
Open the front compartment of the video recorder and insert a cassette with the round window to the left.
Ensure the input select switch is set to TUNER, then choose an active channel with a channel number button or the +/- buttons on the recorder.
Press the PLAY button on the recorder to start playback. The selected program will appear on the TV screen.
