Switching the Appliance Off

Before cleaning and maintenance tasks, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electrical supply. Simply turning the temperature adjustment knobs to 'off' is not sufficient to eliminate all electrical contact.

Cleaning the Appliance

Use a sponge soaked in lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda or neutral soap to clean both the external and internal parts, as well as the rubber seals. Consider using a professional fridge cleaner for optimal results.

Avoiding Mould and Unpleasant Odours

Ensure that food is always covered or sealed properly to maintain an odour-free refrigerator and prevent the formation of stains. If the appliance is going to be switched off for an extended period, clean the inside and leave the doors open.

Defrosting the Appliance

Defrost the appliance if ice forms. A thick layer of ice makes cold transference to food products more difficult and increases energy consumption.

Checking Door Seals

Regularly check the door seals and wipe them clean to ensure they are free of debris, which helps prevent cold air from escaping.
