Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Dryer.
Regular Cleaning
To maintain the efficiency of your LG F1480RD(1~9) Dryer, ensure regular cleaning of both the exterior and interior. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent for the exterior, and run a complete cycle with hot water to clean the interior. Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners.
Proper Load Management
Ensure that all articles in the clothes load are similar in material and thickness for even drying. Avoid overloading the dryer to allow clothes to tumble freely. This prevents strain on the machine and ensures optimal drying performance.
Avoid Fire Hazards
Items spotted or soaked with oil pose a fire risk and should not be placed in the dryer. Always check and clean pockets for foreign objects that could cause damage or fire hazards. Keep the area around the dryer free of lint and combustible materials.
Maintenance of Water Inlet
Periodically check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent clogging. Turn off the water tap, unscrew the inlet hose, and clean the filter with a hard bristle brush. Tighten the hose securely after cleaning.
Regular Filter Check
Regularly inspect and clean the drain filter to remove threads and small objects left in the laundry. This helps maintain optimal drainage and prevents blockages.
