Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Dryer.
Clean the Lint Filter
Clean the lint filter after each use and check it before each use. This will reduce drying times, energy consumption, and lengthen the dryer's life. If the 'Clean Filter' indicator light becomes illuminated, clean the filter promptly.
Empty the Water Container
Ensure the water container is emptied regularly to avoid interruptions during the drying cycle. The dryer may stop if the water container is full.
Check the Condenser
Clean the condenser three or four times a year or when the condenser clean lamp blinks. Operating when the condenser is clogged with lint can damage the dryer and increase energy consumption.
Proper Loading
Do not overload the dryer. Sort clothes by fabric type and dryness level, and tie and fix all strings and belts of clothes before placing them in the drum.
Maintain Good Airflow
Check that the air ventilation grille or rear vents of the dryer are not obstructed. Vacuum the front ventilation grille 3-4 times a year to prevent lint or dirt buildup.
