Most common
problems & fixes

Is your LG RC7064AZ/BZ/CZ letting you down? Don't worry, we're here to help. Check out our list of the most common problems and how to fix them yourself.

Dryer won't run

The dryer is not plugged in, the Start button is not pressed, the door is not properly closed, room temperature is below 5°C, or a fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is tripped.

Ensure the dryer is plugged in, press the Start button, ensure the door is properly closed, maintain room temperature above 5°C, and replace any blown fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Takes a long time to dry

The drying time varies due to heat setting, load size, fabric type, wetness of clothes, or condition of the lint filter.

Adjust heat setting, reduce load size, ensure clothes are sorted by fabric type, and clean the lint filter.

Water is leaking

The door or seal cover is dirty or damaged.

Clean or replace the door seal as necessary.

Clothes are creased

The laundry is overloaded or drying time is too long.

Avoid overloading, and try a shorter drying time, removing items while slightly moist.

Quick setup

Follow these easy steps to get your LG RC7064AZ/BZ/CZ Dryer up and running in no time.

1

Level the Dryer

Place your dryer on a solid, level floor to prevent undesirable noise and vibration. Use a spirit level to check if the dryer is balanced. If the machine rocks when pushing the top plate diagonally, adjust the feet until the dryer is stable and balanced.

2

Installation Location

Ensure the dryer is placed in an area free from flammable materials, condensation, and not liable to freezing. It should not be located near a gas hob, cooker, heater, or grill, as flames from burners could damage the dryer. If fitted beneath a work surface, allow 30cm~50cm space at either side and the back for air circulation.

3

Check Components

After removing the packaging, check that the water container, condenser, control panel, and drum are in place. Open the door and ensure the lint filter is clean.

Maintenance

Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your LG Dryer.

Clean the Lint Filter

Clean the lint filter after each use and check it before each use. This will reduce drying times, energy consumption, and lengthen the dryer's life. If the 'Clean Filter' indicator light becomes illuminated, clean the filter promptly.

Empty the Water Container

Ensure the water container is emptied regularly to avoid interruptions during the drying cycle. The dryer may stop if the water container is full.

Check the Condenser

Clean the condenser three or four times a year or when the condenser clean lamp blinks. Operating when the condenser is clogged with lint can damage the dryer and increase energy consumption.

Proper Loading

Do not overload the dryer. Sort clothes by fabric type and dryness level, and tie and fix all strings and belts of clothes before placing them in the drum.

Maintain Good Airflow

Check that the air ventilation grille or rear vents of the dryer are not obstructed. Vacuum the front ventilation grille 3-4 times a year to prevent lint or dirt buildup.
